ANISEED DOUGHNUTS

Rollo de anís

INGREDIENTS

(use the same cup for all of them)

  • cup of sugar
  • cup of olive oil
  • cup dry anise
  • 4 packets of soda or 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • 2 ½ cups of flour approximately (It should be enough to make little curls like in the image)

PREPARATION

Step 1: Mix together the anise, oil and sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved. Add baking powder or soda to the flour. Knead the dough to give the required texture. Wrap to form doughnuts or rolls, coat them with sugar and then place them on the baking tray. The common size is from 3 to a maximum of 5 centimetres. The smaller you make them, the crunchier they get.

Step 2: Bake at around 150ºC, they should not brown too much.
