The Weather Alicante

Alicante has an arid Mediterranean climate with mild temperatures throughout the year and little rain, concentrated in the equinoctial periods. The temperatures range from 17.0 ° C to 6.3 ° C in January and 30.8 ° C and 21.2 ° C in August, with an average annual temperature of 18.3 ° C,  counting as exceptional both frosty temperatures and those above 40 ° C. The diurnal thermal oscillation is very small because of the maritime influence, although occasional episodes of westerly winds can exceed 15 ° C. The annual variations are also reduced following closely the pattern of mild winters and hot summer.
