INGREDIENTS

  • 250g strong flour
  • 100g sugar
  • 100g butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 20g baking powder
  • 1/2 glass of cow milk
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1/2 lemon zest
  • Pine nuts
  • Varied candied fruit

INDICATIONS

- First, we dissolve the baking powder in the milk a bit hot.

- We add 3 spoonsful of flour making a smooth mixture and letting it settle until it doubles its volume.

- Next, we spread the flour on marble surface preferably and some butter in the middle with the eggs, the sugar, the salt, and the lemon zest.

- Now, we mix all those ingredients with our hand or with a fork, adding the fermented dough and kneading it with the flour in order to get thinner and more compact.

- After that, we stretch the dough on the countertop smeared with butter or olive oil and giving it around 1cm thickness and a oval shape.

- Before baking it, we spread beaten egg on it, the candied fruit in small pieces and we let it settle until the dough doubles its volume.

- Finally, we sprinkle the pine nuts on the dough, as well as the sugar and bake it for 20 minutes in the oven at 180ºC.
